Summer is fast approaching and it’s time to square away the weeks you’ll be spending at La Manga Club properties sunning and swimming. With so many activities to choose from, one week may seem just as exciting as another, but don’t forget to mark your calendars for one very special series of events that spans the end of July and the beginning of August: the Alda Sport Charity Week & Gala.
As in years past, Alda Week proceeds go to the very worthy Alda Foundation, which works to support education for children and young people in Paraguay. It’s a chance for all of us who enjoy our privileged environment at La Manga Club to engage in a bit of sport and fun while giving to others whose lives are so different from our own. What’s more, it’s an event designed to bring together families, with tournaments and competitions designed for all ages.
The week will kick off on the 29th of July with a family golf tournament that begins at 9:00 am, then continue on the 30th with Tennis Day, featuring games and an exhibition match for young and old alike. Children are the stars on the 3rd of August in our football Mini World Cup for 7- to 16-year-olds. And last but not least, the week will be capped off by our Gala Dinner featuring live music, dancing, and surprises aplenty.
